Quinta da Vassala covers an impressive 400 hectares on the slopes of the Serra de Montejunto. It is the jewel in the crown of a series of estates belonging to the Vassala Wines company, currently represented by siblings José Miguel Rafael and Teresa Rola. The two pair, who represent the second generation of this family business, have modernised the wine production processes, adapting them to the region's soil and geographical features.
The oldest vineyard at Quinta da Vassala dates back to 1995, and the most recent to 2018. The latter was already overseen by winemaker Julião Baptista, who joined the project in 2012.
