Quinta do Gradil
Quinta do Gradil
The first references to this estate date back to 1492. By 1864, there was already record of a significant grape harvest belonging to its owner at the time, Maria do Carmo Romeira da Fonseca. The current owners of Quinta do Gradil are the grandchildren of António Gomes Vieira, known as Ganita, who was the mentor behind the family's wine tradition. It is therefore no surprise that Ganita features on the label of a special reserve wine.
The growth of the business, including the restructuring of the vineyards and the modernisation of both buildings and processes, was subsequently taken over by Luís Vieira, supported by winemakers Tiago Correia and António Ventura.
