Quinta de Pancas dates back to 1495, and the first historical document linking it to wine production dates from 1601. Quinta de Pancas is located 45 km from the city of Lisbon, near the village of Pancas, in the municipality of Alenquer. The Alenquer region stretches between the Serra de Montejunto and the floodplains on the right bank of the River Tagus.
Covering a total area of 73 hectares, Quinta de Pancas has 60 hectares of vineyards planted 35 km from the Atlantic Ocean, set amongst a succession of hills, valleys and plains, sheltered by the Serra de Montejunto. This exceptional terroir produces intense, complex and elegant wines.
