Although Quinta da Folgorosa dates back to at least 1711, it was only in 1980 that the first wine was bottled. By that time, the property was already in the hands of the Carvalho Ribeiro & Ferreira family business. In 2009, the entire production process underwent a deep restructuring, from the revitalisation of the vineyards to the redesign of the labels.
