Alice and Paulo Tavares da Silva dreamt of buying a property for the family and, after a long search, they finally found Quinta de Chocapalha in 1987. This was followed by a major restoration project covering the 46 hectares of vineyards. Over the years, the whole family became involved and one of their daughters, Sandra, became the estate's winemaker. Later, it would be Andrea's turn to take over the management of the business.
