Casca Wines

After years of gaining experience in the United States, Germany and the Canary Islands, winemaker Hélder Cunha founded Casca Wines in 2008. Among his objectives was to revive the tradition of the vineyards in Chão de Areia, Colares. He began with the Malvasia grape variety, then moved on to Ramisco, both under the Monte Cascas brand. This was followed in 2015 by the Cabo da Roca range, reserve wines produced from a single grape variety: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon or Syrah.

Having also created the Cascas range, there are plans to venture into Vinho de Carcavelos. Casca Wines is thus expanding its presence to cover almost the entire Lisbon region.
