Adega da Vermelha

The Adega Cooperativa da Vermelha was created out of the need to control grape production in the region. In the 1980s, its roughly two thousand members were producing nearly 30 million litres of wine, predominantly white. In the following decade, a general restructuring of the vineyards introduced a better balance between white and red grape varieties.

With a climate well suited to the production of Vinho Leve Lisboa, Adega da Vermelha's flagship brand is Mundus. Over the years, the winery has modernised and now features a shop with a tasting room to better serve visiting tourists.
