Carvoeira
Adega de Carvoeira was founded in 1957 and had its first harvest in 1960. Since then, the key word has been modernisation, resulting in wine production of increasingly high quality.
One of Adega de Carvoeira's missions is the monitoring of vineyards by technical staff from local farmers' associations to ensure the quality of the grapes produced across its roughly 900 hectares of vines. The grapes display varied characteristics: those from the eastern side of the Montejunto Massif are influenced more by a Mediterranean climate, whilst those from the western side are more exposed to the freshness and sea breeze. The final result is crafted by winemaker Julião Baptista.
