Quinta da Murta
Quinta da Murta
The first vines at Quinta da Murta were planted in the 1980s. In 1995, the then owner produced the first bottled wine, made from the Arinto grape variety. The estate's new owner is the Frenchman Frank Bodin, who bought the twenty-seven-hectare estate in 2012.
Bodin revamped the label design, adding the phrase 'The Wine of Shakespeare' in homage to the poet who immortalised Bucelas wine in his play "Henry VI" in the late 16th century. Quinta da Murta is distinguished by its organic production methods.
